First graders LOVE hands on science. I am requesting a GrowLab Classroom Gardening Center from Ward Science which will help us conduct hands-on science in the classroom. Recently we grew pumpkin seeds, and compared the seeds from a pumpkin we carved, and store bought seeds from a package. My students would love to tell you what we found... A GrowLab Classroom Gardening Center would allow us to grow and observe hands-on plant experiments that meet Next Generation Science Standards:1-LS1-1. 1-LS1-2. 1-LS3-1. Growing plants by a small window in styrofoam cups has its limitations. Help us improve our science lab!
