My students work every day to build their reading and literacy skills. The school system has a program that my students are required to go through and we use it to track their progress and growth. My classroom only has two computers for all my students to share. This makes it difficult for them to complete their weekly tasks. Adding two Chromebooks will facilitate the students completing their reading requirements. These Chromebooks will also help prepare them for the future educational and job related skills, as computers are an integral part of every day life, from school activities to applying for jobs. My goal is to add Chromebooks so that not only do my students use them for the required work but that we can expand their learning to researching and writing essays. They need the experience of preparing essays on the Chromebooks to help them prepare for upper grades and be college prepared.
