As the Adsis program is new to our school, many furniture pieces have been randomly sought out to create a makeshift classroom. Our students receive reading and math intervention services in our room in addition to their classroom instruction. We have been creative when teaching our group lessons within the room because space and seating is limited. However, it would be exciting to offer our students some engaging learning spaces upon entering our room. It would be fun to have some permanent fixtures that can accomodate our creative kiddos. Having modern and flexible seating options that can enhance our learning experience will be a huge asset to our program. New seating choices would be an exciting way to build a comfortable and homey atmosphere while instruction is taking place. This flexible seating style has many benefits within the classroom. Students will have a chance to work close together in small groups and/or one on one (which we do a lot of). Many studies have shown that students work better when in this type of surrounding. It is our goal to have productive students. In order to achieve this, we are striving to give our students a classroom that they can claim as their own work space.
