Our young band program does not have all the equipment needed to cover all the parts required in our music. The Malletstation will give our students an opportunity to practice with the different mallet sounds without purchasing thousands and thousands of dollars worth of equipment. Our program does not have a proper band hall, so space is limited for all the percussion equipment as well. The Mallettstation can also be utilized for marching band to reduce the amount of equipment needed for away games and can be utilized to integrate synthesized sounds. Hurricane Harvey directly impacted Texas including the South Texas Region where we live. We saw a direct impact on Farmers affecting our community. The impact left South Texas communities without homes and schools and having to stay in temporary housing for years.
