During these unprecedented times, we will be learning remotely, and upon return will be unable to share supplies. Therefore, these books will be kept by the same students during the novel study. This will enable students to have the books home and read at their own pace. Donations to this project will enable my students to learn how to work collaboratively by participating in an in-depth novel study, hone their critical thinking skills, and foster a lifelong love of reading. I'm asking for 125 copies of Never Caught by Erica Armstrong Dunbar in order to participate in the novel study. Never Caught is the story of Ona Judge, a slave who emancipated herself from George Washington, and is a high-interest book that's sure to ignite curiosity and intrigue in even my most reluctant readers.
