These resources will help ESOL students with limited language skills build their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills because the stories can be a segway to helping them to have discussions around the stories, and journal writing around the stories as well. For example, the stories can be used as extra reading support on the reading level that students need the most support in is reading fluency. These books lends itself to help student have a plethora of choices with their reading book choices. This extra support can be in a guided reading setting to increase students level of confidence.
