"Teacher, I'm finished!" I hear that all the time from students ready for their next task. Organized and easy to use learning centers are the perfect answer. These materials will allow me to set up engaging and organized centers that appeal to students fosters their independence in the learning community that is our class. The supply caddies will be filled with pencils, markers, pens, scissors, rulers, etc, so students can use them at the writing center to write and illustrate their stories. The bins would be used at the reading center to organize hundreds of children's books by reading level, making it simple for students to quickly get their level book. The markers and cut out letters are to label centers and clearly post directions for activities. The magnetic wands would be in the math/science center to help them clean up their materials. Organized learning centers would allow my students to not waste any instructional time when they finish assignments and independently participate in tasks that will extend their learning.
