These materials will be used to maximize literacy learning for struggling readers by explicitly teaching the connections between letters and sounds. Being the first year for this Language and Literacy Specialist position, I am excited to bring this service into the district! The “multisensory” approach I will use is found to be highly effective and allows me to provide an added-value to students who require specialized interventions for learning to read. The materials in this project will help me promote the use of student's sight, hearing, touch and movement to make connections between spoken language to written letters, words, sentences, and beyond!!! Teaching and learning in this manner ensures a deeper learning experience for those who need it most!!!

About my class
