Due to various budget cuts, our athletic teams are given minimal or no first aid supplies for coaches to take out to fields during practices/games. Don't get me wrong, we have an amazing athletic trainer and student athletes see her as needed. There are times when she is busy with other athletes at other fields. If coaches have some basic first aid supplies (gauze, band aids, glucose tablets), this could prevent unnecessary calls that take the trainer time and focus away from more serious needs. Our sports teams are without vital first aid kits for each individual sport. While the trainer and nurse have most of the needed supplies, something coaches don't have is an easily identifiable First Aid Kit/Bag. These kits will be given to each team and then be refilled and used for the different sports seasons.
