Our science core in the fourth grade includes biomes, animal adaptations, the water cycle and soil. This aquarium will provide many opportunities for my students to apply scientific method. They will be able to make hypothesis, experiment, observe, and draw conclusions. We learn together the importance of water and soil conservation to ensure these resources are available for the future of our world. Students need the opportunity to engage in Hands-On learning; touch, feel, and see science come to life! I try to provide opportunities for deeper learning experiences in my classroom as we dive into science. Bringing science to life in the classroom with this aquarium environment with allow students to be more aware of the environment around and help them to play a vital role in preserving our natural resources.
