The Book Club Buddies reading program will help to deepen readers' appreciation and to provide an understanding to common text and extend students' thinking as they process and interpret their perspectives. The books will be given to the students to read selected chapters of the books. The selected days for the reading program will be designated for open discussion and interpretation of what was read. The Book Club Buddies will not only be about reading, but will serve as an avenue to gain new friends and a means of getting involved with the school community and gain new perspectives and boost teamwork skills.
