Our goal is to allow access to sensory break activities in a motor lab that the whole school can access. We have many students who outwardly exhibit difficulty with emotional and behavioral regulation and many more who would benefit from an outlet. Everyone needs a safe place to take a break! We have a room that we would love to fill with safe and exciting gross motor tools for students. Some tools they can use while accessing a gross motor break to regulate include an indoor swing (Indoor/Outdoor Round Mat Swing), crash pad (JUMBO Foam Mat For Kids) , and gel sensory pads ( Liquid Floor Tiles) . We will use the area as both a motor lab and calming area so materials requested are beneficial for both. Materials requested include a jumbo foam mat, indoor swing, sensory mats, calming area supplies (Cozy Corner Canopy), and light covers to make the area more calming. All materials will be set up within our open classroom that all students will have access too. We know our students will enjoy learning how to self regulate with access to these tools.
