Speaking and understanding a second language are the two most important yet difficult skills to master. With the variety of items I have requested, my students will be able to practice these skills through authentic materials. The headphones and computers will allow me to assess their speaking progress. The computer paired with the TV stand (along with a TV I have at home) will connect them through Skype with native Spanish speakers from around the world. Here, they will practice speaking and listening and might even make a new friend or two! With these items, I want my students not only to speak Spanish, but also love it as much as I do! I want them to look forward to coming to my class, wondering what exciting activity they will be involved in that day.
