We are requesting this classroom set of Virgil's Aeneid which will provide a beautiful epic tale to low income students traumatized by Hurricane Michael. Students will read the English translation before they begin translating Latin sections. Most of my students currently have no access to the internet to read free versions of the book and our school library was destroyed by the hurricane in October. With hard copies of the epic in the classroom, all students will be able to read the tale in its entirety. The Aeneid is a timeless story of love, war, loss, and man's ability to triumph over adversity. A perfect story for students who are experiencing adversity themselves.
