My students will use these drums to explore music from around the world. So many great musical cultures are rooted in rhythm and percussion. Students can learn the basics of a culture's music without instruments easily. However, to really experience a musical culture, students need to get their hands on that culture's musical tools or instruments. This will allow them to step into the shoes of a musician from another culture and see the world from another point of view. Having a broader perspective on the world will not only make them a better musician, but also a better human being as well. Help my students experience world musical cultures through drumming.
