Haze is the most commonly used type of fog in the theatrical industry and crucial for all types of lighting design. Unfortunately, these machines are also very expensive, a tad too expensive for a high school theatre to afford. This means that every time I teach lighting design to the students, I must rent the necessary materials which we often only have enough money to rent it for one week. This isn't even enough time to teach ten students. My objective is to purchase a hazer that can be utilized all year round from all technical theatre students. This will better prepare students for a career in the theatrical industry which is the largest industry within Las Vegas, NV. We want to give our students a better chance to receive a job by teaching them industry standards they will see on a daily basis.
