Everyday, students in my classrooms use Chromebooks and work on i-Ready Math and reading, as well as other educational programs that enhance their learning. Lessons on i-Ready are aligned to the math and ELA standards being taught in the classroom, and students can focus much better when they have headphones. Headphones are needed for students to access online reading and math programs. Unfortunately, we do not have a full set of headphones, so often times students are stuck attempting a program with no sound. Many of my students are English Language Learners which makes reading fluency a challenge. With headphones, my students will be able to access online resources that allow students to read with support to increase their accuracy, expression, and fluency.
