We have the once in a lifetime opportunity to partner with The Smith Center and Disney Musicals in Schools program to perform The Lion King Kids at our school. Our students are eager and anxious to showcase their talents through musical theater. We are asking for assistance to give these students a boost to confidence in their performance with theater make up, new percussion instruments, and realistic props. Academic integration into the arts can be critical for many students to feel successful in school. Our students are learning more that just how to put together an amazing performance. Our students are learning critical social skills. Our students are learning to cooperate. Our students are learning to sing in another language. Our students are learning new vocabulary through the process of musical theater, blocking, reading scripts, and singing. Please help us achieve our goal.
