The books that I am requesting will not only benefit students in learning music but will also assist these young students as they begin to read and as they are improving on their reading skills. These books will help students build vocabulary and help them as they are beginning to learn to read. By using the storybooks, reading concepts will be reinforced as students will be able to see pictures and words together each week. By incorporating these books into the music curriculum students will enjoy broadening their vocabulary and improving their reading skills while singing fun, movement filled songs.
