I work in a highly diverse school with more than 75% Free and Reduced lunch. For some of my students, entry into the school is their first exposure to English. There are 11 languages represented. Many parents speak very limited English. These students have caring parents who are involved in their education; however, the resources they can afford them, such as books, are rare at home, especially books they can read. Many of my students families rely on school to support their children's educational needs.

About my class
