Thanks to you, despite further programming cuts, my students have been able to access daily music activities. They have been able to nurture their curiousity and explore many more types of music! \r\n\r\nOne class is able to do a different instrument every day. Today we had Tambourine Tuesday and every friday students can select from a variety of instruments for Fun Friday Movement! The kids love the 'boom sticks' the most and created a 'kid band' together, as seen in the photos on the rainbow carpet. There is loud laughter each time we bring out the boomsticks and the students lead the class in a silly move and beat. Students also love doing 'Tambourine Magic' on youtube and Baby Shark with their rhythmn sticks. We were also able to incorporate music into our spring chick unit with egg shaker song and dances.\r\n\r\nWe have had a few instruments break from curious and rough hands, but thanks to your generous donation, we still have enough to go around! Upon receiving and opening the package, my students were very excited! To teach responsible ways of using them, we engaged in a collaborative project where students partnered up to build creative structures. This activity not only allowed for social interactions but also encouraged teamwork and collaboration among the students. The creativity displayed in their construction was impressive, as you can see it in one of the photos. \r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will incorporate the \"toys\" into our classroom routines as a means for students to decompress when the needs arises. They will serve as a valuable tool for channeling strong emotions in more meaningful ways. Additionally, we plan to sue them as incentives for students to work towards specific goals. This will provide opportunities for creativity and collaboration while also helping them develop fine more and problem-solving skills. \r\n\r\nThe fidget \"toys\" have become a wonderful resource that supports my students learning in all aspects!","fullyFundedDate":1733773190759,"projectUrl":"project/fidget-and-learn-engaging-students-le/8739756/","projectTitle":"Fidget and Learn!
