The materials requested are specifically designed to support student social and emotional learning within my our school. They will be used in both individual and group counseling lessons, as well as utilized in classroom lessons delivered to every student within our school. The purpose of the anger game, books and sensory items: bubble tube, light, calm down bottle materials, thumball, sand frame, bean bags, expandable ball and weighted lap pad; are to teach students how to identify physiological cues within their body that help identify their emotions, which leads to discussions on how to appropriately respond to those thoughts, feelings, and emotions in a productive and healthy way. The skills learned using these tools will facilitate a lifelong practice of mindfulness within students.
