I teach at a low income school in the Bay Area. I teach Freshman College and Career Readiness and World History, as well as being the head coach for our new Wrestling Program. School wide, we have a shortage of resources to give our students the best that they deserve. A lot of my class and team materials I've purchased from my own pockets, but as a second year teacher, my pockets only run so deep. My students and wrestlers are faced with hardships on a daily basis that I can hardly believe, and school and practice might be the only place that they feel welcome and supported. It is my goal to make sure that I give them every opportunity and fulfill as many needs as I can, in my short time with them.
