The use of technology in my classroom is important to achieve the student ownership of learning that I am aiming for. Many of my students come to me reading below level and therefore need quick access to leveled materials to answer questions and translate information into differentiated details that they can use to be successful on the given task. "A mistake is only an opportunity to be great" is what I always tell my students. We celebrate success and many of my students need the encouragement to be self directed which is a valuable life skill. With the use of the Nest Hubs, I envision students being able to stay connected to our classroom, have hands-free help when they need it and enjoy a mood that suits their social and emotional wellbeing. The Nest Hubs will allow readers to listen to Read-a-Louds and utilize voice-to-text features in small groups and independently. They will assist in inquiry and allow students to learn technology skills that will be essential. In addition to all of the benefits I've mentioned, the Nest Hubs will keep the students engaged and that MUST happen for goals to be met on the road to SUCCESS!
