My kindergarten and 1st grade students are using the resources to learn how to write their letters. My students were excited to receive new writing notebooks. We have new program that gives us the opportunity to write about our text. We are planning to continue to use our notebooks to write about text that we are reading. We used the Hand2Mind Phonics Skill-Building Pocket Chart to build words with CVC patterns. The students were able to choose a picture card and build the word with the letters. The students were able to decode the words after they identified the sounds and the letters that represented the sounds.\r\n\r\nThe Hand2Mind Mirror ound Resource helped the kindergarten students develop phonemic awareness. They were able to hear the sounds, identify, and manipulate individual sounds in spoken words. The mirror helped the students observe the movement of their lips, tongue, and mouth when making sounds.\r\n\r\nMy students were very excited to use the new resources.
