Every good classroom starts with organization and procedures. And every good procedure starts with supplies. Kick bands and stress balls allow for alternative sensory output, a necessity for scholars practicing emotional coping mechanisms. Our classroom should reflect the students it supports. If the students' learning styles are different from those of their peers, their environment should reflect their uniqueness. As part of their Individual Education Plans, many students are allowed to show alternative forms of comprehension. This includes hands-on projects, coloring, drawing or other forms of creative expression. Through these supplies, our classroom will support students with alternative thinking patterns and means of expression. Although items like Clorox wipes, markers and laminating sheets may seem like small additions, they make a huge impact on daily student learning. These materials will help with the cleanliness and organization of our classroom, increasing students' overall focus and learning. The cleaning materials such as the vacuum and broom will also allow students to take responsibility for their physical space. The rug area in our room is used as a cool-down corner for students experiencing emotional stress or anxiety. It also functions as our community center, providing us a place to sit comfortably while we learn about positive social interaction. Help us keep this space clean with the vacuum and cleaning supplies! All students deserve a clean, healthy environment. Help us teach students how to take care of their environment!
