My goal is to help every child learn to love reading. With some, reading comes easy and is viewed as an enjoyable experience. With others, reading is frustrating and anything but enjoyable. No matter how reluctant a reader a child is, something magical happens when he finds the perfect book. Remember the first book that really hooked you? Maybe it was part of a series and you read everyone one. Have you ever wished you could experience that book or series for the first time all over again? That's the kind of excitement I try to bring to every one of my students. In order to do that, it takes a classroom library that is as varied as my students are. As I begin my new position as a second grade teacher, please help me build a great classroom library!
