Your contribution will provide our students with headphones and microphones that are essential to their English language development. These tools will allow them to fully engage with our new Summit K12 program, where they can practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing in ways that are personalized to their needs.\r\n\r\nFor many of our students, speaking and listening practice is one of the most important — and sometimes most intimidating — parts of learning a new language. With the privacy and focus that these headsets provide, students will be able to record their voices, try new vocabulary and pronunciation, and receive immediate feedback. This is a powerful confidence-builder, and it helps them grow not only in language, but in their sense of belonging and voice in the classroom.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is helping create a supportive learning environment where every student feels empowered to take risks, communicate, and learn in meaningful ways. Every day, your gift is helping to build a community where multilingual learners feel seen, heard, and valued.\r\n\r\nWhen our new books and materials arrived, the excitement was immediate. The interactive tools you funded—such as vocabulary visuals and hands-on learning materials—have helped make small-group instruction much more engaging. Students have also especially enjoyed our little library in which they find stories with characters who look like them, speak their languages, or share similar family experiences. \r\n\r\nIn fact, the \"A Little Spot\" book series has been a huge success. These stories have opened the door to important conversations about emotions, kindness, and empathy. As multilingual learners, my students sometimes struggle to express complex feelings in English, but the visuals and simple language in these books make it easier for them to connect. We've been using the series during morning meetings and small-group discussions to help students identify feelings, resolve conflicts, and support one another. It's been wonderful to see them not only learning English words for emotions but also learning how to manage them in healthy ways.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and in the power of inclusive education. Your kindness has helped create an environment where language, confidence, and compassion all thrive together. You have made a lasting impact not just on their academic growth, but on how they see themselves as learners and members of a multilingual world. Students in every grade from kindergarten through fourth grade are excited each time we use the new materials. The speaker has completely changed the atmosphere in the gym. It fills the room with clear sound that makes activities more engaging and fun. Music now feels like an important part of our lessons rather than just background noise.\r\n\r\nKindergarten and first grade students have been especially enthusiastic about the books that combine reading with movement. These stories bring literacy and physical activity together in a way that captures their attention. Students are moving, learning, and making meaningful connections between what they read and how they move. It has been amazing to watch their excitement grow as they act out the stories.\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest surprises has been the 30 second dance party button. What started as a small addition quickly became the highlight of our time together. Students light up the moment it is pressed. They laugh, smile, and dance freely, enjoying a quick burst of silliness that brings so much joy. Even the fourth graders who often try to act \"too cool\" cannot resist joining in and having fun. These short dance breaks have become a powerful way to build community and remind everyone that moving can be pure fun.\r\n\r\nThis project has added energy, joy, and creativity to our days. It has supported literacy, movement, and student engagement in ways I did not imagine when I first applied. Thank you so much for making this possible. Students notice them every day and often point out their favorite sayings during class.\r\n\r\nThe bookmarks and stickers have become powerful motivators. When students demonstrate a growth mindset, whether it is trying a new activity, encouraging a classmate, or not giving up when something feels tough, they can earn these prizes. It has been inspiring to see how proud they are to receive a small recognition that reinforces such an important life skill.\r\n\r\nThe books I received have also given me new opportunities to bring these lessons to life. Reading stories about growth mindset helps my students connect the message to real situations, both in the gym and beyond. Together, the visual reminders, incentives, and read-alouds are helping to build a culture where students believe in themselves and in the power of \"yet.\"\r\n\r\nThank you for making this possible. These resources have expanded their creative opportunities and will continue to help them practice and refine essential developmental skills. Materials such as: Play-Doh, pipe cleaners, colored wire, rolls of masking tape, and the kid friendly cardboard saws, have allowed all ages of my students to engage with art in tactile and dynamic ways. The Lego Modern Art sets have allowed my students to take their portrait learning to a whole new level.\r\nSome key areas these materials have impacted my students are:\r\n\r\nSpatial Reasoning: 3D art activities support the development of spatial reasoning skills. Golden Hill students explored concepts like volume, shape, size, and dimension as they manipulate materials such as the Play-Doh, wires and pipe cleaners. \r\n\r\nFine and Gross Motor Skill Development: Being able to work with diverse 3D materials has enhanced both fine and gross motor skills of my students. Play-Doh, constructing sculptures out of cardboard (made more kid friendly with the use of the cardboard saws and rolls of masking tape), and manipulating objects require precise hand movements, improving dexterity and hand-eye coordination.\r\n \r\nCreative Expression and Problem-Solving: Having greater access to materials to create 3D art encourages students to think creatively and solve problems individually and collaboratively. My students have been able to learn how to visualize their ideas in three dimensions, experiment with different techniques for building, and overcome challenges in bringing their visions to life. This creative process has helped to foster their critical thinking, adaptability, and resilience.\r\n\r\nCollaboration and Communication: Many 3D art projects involve collaboration, requiring students to work together, share ideas, and communicate effectively. While creating my students were challenged to learn to listen to others' perspectives, negotiate solutions, and contribute to a shared creative goal.\r\n\r\nIncreased Confidence and Self-Esteem: Successfully creating a three-dimensional artwork helped to boost my students' confidence and self-esteem. They each took pride in their accomplishments and developed a sense of ownership over their creative work.\r\n\r\nThe donations received allowing for the purchase of the three-dimensional art supplies for my classroom has had a significant and positive impact on all students who attend Golden Hill Elementary School. These materials have not only enriched their artistic experiences but have also supported their development across multiple domains, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.
