The students at this elementary school come from very diverse populations. Many are international students, some low income. I hope that painting together will bring them together as artists, not further divide them into stereotypes. Art helps bridge the gap between cultures. It is my hope that the future lessons of painting on canvas with acrylic paints will allow these students to express their creative side and experience how "real artists" paint around the world. They will paint for the love of the creative process and be proud of their individual outcomes. Using acrylic paints are a vibrant media for use on canvas. Their art will also stand the test of time and display well in the community. Their finished art will be as diverse as they are as students.

About my class
