I am a 4th grade teacher leading a new inclusion classroom in an urban setting. I have a diverse group of learners. I want to to provide new, engaging reading materials for them this year. On my wish list is specific literature that would represent the majority of my students who are Haitian. Often in classrooms, many cultures are not represented in the books on the shelves. I am also asking for new leveled fiction and non-fiction books for 4th grade and lower level readers. I have some learners who will need technology to access books online, therefore I would love headphones and two bean bag chairs for them as an option for listening to books.
