Students will be using this 3D printer, in the ultimate lesson in hand-on application of creation. They will be making usable simple machines as well as creating the solar system to help bring science to life. Students will collaborate with each other to problem solve and seek understanding. They will be taking an idea through the engineering design process. This will help me differentiate instruction, and easily include all students. The ability to print out their projects will impact their learning in a way they've not experienced before. This will primarily impact grades 3-5. Providing students with this opportunity at a young age helps give them the confidence to be successful in the areas of Science, Technology and Engineering. We want our kids to be competitive in the areas of technology and innovation as they grow in a fast-paced society.
