I have 180 eighth grade public school students... Ethnically we are a VERY diverse group...just about every color of the rainbow is represented in our group... and we embrace our melting pot-ish-ness!! Our students come from middle and low income families... we are in an area that has been hit hard by the slumping housing market, so there are a lot of kids who are losing their homes and a lot of parents struggling.... My students are fun... hands-on learners who love it when I shut up and let THEM take the reigns with activities and experiments.
