At the completion of our unit on gears, I would love for the students to create an interactive gear bulletin board using LEGO bricks. What better way for them to show how gears work than LEGO bricks. In order for us to achieve this goal, we need 36 LEGO baseplates and glue to cover the bulletin board. The students will then take the knowledge from their gear unit to create a working gear board. We have the LEGO bricks and LEGO Gears to accomplish this. We, however, do not have baseplates. Once we have the baseplates, the interactive bulletin will become a continuous/endless project throughout the years. Students from year to year will be able to update, upgrade and enhance the board. I can't wait to see their imaginations expand this board to adding lighting, sound, the possibilities are endless.
