Instead of a traditional classroom with rows and rows of desks, I am aiming to create a learning environment that gives my students the opportunity to choose where they will be most effective learners. I work with students with disabilities and it is often challenging for them to stay seated throughout lessons. Using alternative seating, my students will be free to choose where they will sit, as well as what kind of seat they would like to use. The counter height table will give my students the option to be able to complete their work while standing, rather than sitting. Students would also be able to use the stools, if they so choose. With the help of the portable lap desks, my students will be able to complete their work throughout the classroom, choosing where they think they will be most successful. The addition of the flex-seats to my classroom will almost all of my students to have a place to sit while completing classwork. I need your support to help make this happen! Thank you!
