We transition to and from the rug every single day. We have our morning meetings on the rug, celebrate birthdays, learn new sight words, and MANY more things. This is a place where we come together and learn to be classroom community members. Having a rug that will fit all of my students will help everyone to feel included in our community. Currently, our classroom rug is too small to comfortably fit all of my students. This means I often have to have some students sit in their seats which does not help with making everyone feel included. A full sized rug would make all of my students feel involved at all times.
