I believe school should be a fun place that helps my scholars become lifelong learners. Most of my students are reading below grade level due to being second language learners or not being exposed to a language rich environment. My students are extremely motivated and engaged when using programs on the computer to help them learn English and become better readers. I need headphones for my students so that they can listen to ebooks and they can record their own reading. I assign books to my kindergartners but with no headphone there is a lot of noise from other students reading around them that makes it difficult for them to record and also difficult for me to evaluate their reading.
