The students in my first grade classroom enjoy our story time and are eager to learn how to read independently. As my first graders are still learning to read, they would greatly benefit from a listening center where they can enjoy listening to high interest stories. With the listening center materials such as a read-along book, CD player, ​and headphones my students will be able to enjoy reading in our reading corner at other times during our school day. While they are still learning the foundational skills the listening center will encourage them to keep learning and enjoying the love of reading until they are able to read independently.

About my class
