My students must keep up with the latest technology and education to keep them motivated in the 21st century. Therefore, Chromebooks can help them gain the skills to be global-ready citizens. There are a lot of opportunities for students to learn through a computer. It provides visuals, applications geared towards their learning , and keyboarding skills needed for standardized tests. All in all, these laptops may help my students improve their comprehension skills needed for third-grade reading. My school uses an online program called Naviance, where students may find online quizzes of books they have read and tests their understanding of the book. With this, the program gives them points and, therefore, motivation to spark their reading outside the school environment.
