My students fully understand the importance of knowing how to read and comprehend what they read. Although many of my students put forth their best effort with reading, they are still challenged with comprehending what they are reading. I have created an attractive reading station with carpet, a lamp, and reading chairs to help spark their interest in reading. With the books I have chosen, this will allow my students to read books that they can associate with. It will also create good reading habits and increase comprehension, which in return will motivate them to read more on their own time.
