The materials I am requesting are going to make a large impact on my students. The school that I teach in does not have a large number of resources, so basic supplies are often needed to help the students succeed. Things such as pencil pouches will give students ownership over their supplies and their space as learners. The headphones will allow them to effectively use the technology station to listen to books being read aloud. The graphic novel sets will allow them to see that books can be something new and exciting as opposed to the textbooks they read from each day. Finally, the label maker will give us a way to be sure that our literacy stations are organized and each student has ownership of their own materials.
