The majority of my students are still reading far below their grade level, and they are discouraged from reading due to the lack of engaging books available to them. I hope to both inspire future readers, generate a love of reading, and to help students close the gaps that exist in their reading level before they head to high school. Can you imagine if students had lots of books in our classroom library to choose from? Currently, they all compete to get the same five high interest books and bide their time with the others while waiting. I'd love if every student was enjoying what they were reading at the same time.
