In order to understand physics and the world they live in, students need proper calculators. Many of these students come from a low-income household and can't afford to buy lunch - let alone school supplies. I want to provide students with an equitable opportunity to learn and grow. These students are our future and it is important that they have the opportunity to learn about the world around them in order to become contributing citizens in their community. Students are unable to learn physics without calculators - by providing each student with a calculator, we can provide them with a more equitable opportunities to determine their life path. Students will be using these calculators in the classroom to explore the science behind every day life. For example, gravity, projectiles, collisions, etc. Students will use calculators to help calculate and research real-life issues. There are so many essential careers involving physics. It is important to show students all of their options and by giving each student a calculator, we are helping these students to grow and thrive without having to worry about how they can afford one.
