"I never knew that place existed before!" "What about that country we heard about in the news?" World Geography is an excitingly complex and ever-changing field of study. Freshmen curiosity is perfectly suited for the investigative nature of our class and in order to facilitate learning at the highest and most accessible levels, I'm looking to provide the best tools for my students to use. Concise atlases allow easy flipping to figure out why one country might be considered "more or less developed" and allow some insight as to why certain countries seem active or isolated on the global stage. In everything from warm up activities, news based conversations, and lengthy analysis/research, growth will be strengthened by having appropriate references. To really set the standard and push student achievement and interest to maximum potential, National Geographic's World Atlas will leave users astonished and help provide full perspective.
