Many students learn and demonstrate learning best by using manipulatives, being creative, and having the opportunity to solve problems using hands on materials. My STEM humanities program gives all JSE students this opportunity during a fixed schedule specialist class. Students will deepen learning of science topics learned in the classroom and see that knowledge in the context of real world uses. These kits will give Stevens students this opportunity in humanities class by providing all materials, which are reusable for years to come, instructions, and laminated cards for recording learning. I chose the kits to be accessible for all students in all grades at my school.
