The materials that my students will use will help run the classroom organization smoother and will help the transitions run faster and with less distractions. In this way I will take advantage of every minute to teach and students will be focus in the task ahead and will not have to worry about looking for papers. For this I will use the binders, the dividers, and the binder paper. For example, when I teach Reading, there will be papers about a Reading comprehension topic, so instead of kids loosing the papers they will have a place to put organize them. The magazine holders will be for the kids to place their independent reading books by their desk, in this way when it's time for them to do Silent Reading, they will be ready without having to get up often. The sharpies are for an art project called "Foiled Embossing" which requires lots of foil and sharpies. When I teach animals, kids will choose their favorite animal and will to the Foiled Embossing on their favorite animal. The plastic folders are for kids to use it as the "Homework Folder." I love to communicate with parents, so this is one way I use to send any important information. The other folders are to use as a Biography Lapbook and an Animal Lapbook Research. Kids love it! It gets them motivated into their research writing standards. In my 20 years of teaching, I found that having a well organized classroom enhances the learning atmosphere dramatically.
