Children with autism and other disabilities sometimes have difficulty with sensory processing. This project can help create an environment where they can go to help improve their focus and motor development. It can encourage social interaction and improve cognitive abilities.This project includes items that will help them achieve these goals. By donating to this project, you will be helping my students to have an environment where they can go to find ways to cope with sensory processing difficulties. The inflatable PeaPod can apply deep, even pressure to the body allowing a student to rock side-to-side, for that perfect cocooning-calming effect. The teardrop chair swing has a natural soothing movement. Lights, vibrating pillows, massager, and other sensory calming items help improve focus and attention and create an environment to cope with their sensory struggles. When children learn how to better understand and integrate information regarding touch, balance, and body awareness, their learning abilities will also increase.
