We plan to continue working on this to help us on our Community-Based Instruction trips. The new materials and technology have become more than just tools—they are bridges for my students to explore, communicate, and learn in ways that meet their unique needs.\r\n\r\nWe received all of our new additions, and they have been such an incredible enhancement to our classroom library and centers. The new books have expanded our library, giving students more opportunities to explore language and literacy. The binding spirals, laminating sheets, and Velcro have allowed us to create durable, interactive materials such as language books that correspond directly to our activities and stories. These resources will last us for months and are helping students expand their vocabulary, practice new words, and develop stronger communication skills.\r\n\r\nThe Bubble Fish Lamp has been a huge hit! My students' hearts filled with excitement the first time they saw the bubbles and the fish swimming. It has become both a calming and learning tool—we count the fish together, identify colors, and talk about what we see. In math, the new color-sorting activity has captured their attention with bright manipulatives that make problem-solving engaging. The letter tray has also brought organization to our daily routines, giving students a clear way to sort and turn in their work in their \"take home\" folders, promoting independence and responsibility.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who are usually hesitant have been drawn in by these new resources. One child who rarely participates in group activities now lights up when we gather around the fish tank, eagerly naming colors and counting along. Another student, who struggles with transitions, has benefited from the organized structures we've created with the letter tray, bulletin board borders, and desk covers. These organizational supports give them visual cues and predictability, which make the classroom feel safe and manageable.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, my students have access to a learning environment that sparks curiosity, encourages independence, and supports communication growth every single day. From bubbling fish tanks to bright sorting games, from fresh books to carefully laminated language activities—your kindness has left a lasting mark on their learning journey.","fullyFundedDate":1758481319491,"projectUrl":"project/engaging-equipping-our-classroom-for-l/9570030/","projectTitle":"Engaging & Equipping Our Classroom for Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ramirez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5291355_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754882520310","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5291355"},{"teacherId":9830844,"projectId":9078958,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for fully funding my classroom project! You have made a great impact in my classroom and my students and I truly appreciate it. This is my first year as a teacher and to have a project fully funded has been a great help. I started this project because I noticed my students were struggling with developing handwriting and learning to write complete sentences. Using the writing materials received such as the expo markers, writing boards, jumbo magnetic notebook paper, and portable whiteboard stand I was able to help improve my students handwriting.\r\n A few of the different ways I used the materials was as a whole group every morning during phonics time. They practiced writing new vocabulary words and high frequency words. Another way the students used them were during stations. One of the stations I had for reading was writing station were they have flash cards of high frequency words we were learning those 9 weeks and would change every 9 weeks. On one side of the flash card was the word and on the other side was the word used in a complete sentence. The students would practice writing those sentences on the white boards and I would help them stay in between the lines, make sure they kept the finger space, and used correct grammar and punctuation.\r\n The students were also able to learn their math facts on the white boards and learn their addition and subtraction facts. The whiteboard would also help me for anchor charts and times that students needed help spelling a word we would sound it out and write it together on the board.
