My students are world travelers. We believe that reading can take you anywhere. We take those words literally and learn about people, places and cultures around the world and in our own classrooms. Without reading, many students will never get to "travel" the world. Our classroom has 27 principled students who will one day become leaders around the world. We work hard both in academics and social skills to beat the odds and become life long learners and globally minded citizens. We are inquirers, thinkers, communicators, risk-takers, open-minded and caring students. Our amazing school serves free and reduced lunch to 85% of its students. It also has as high and rapidly growing ENL population. In our classroom, and in the district we set high expectations and expect high academic achievement. We are one of the nations few districts that provides a International Baccalaureate curriculum for K-12 students.
