In my classroom I work building independence with my children. One way to build independence is by giving students choices in their learning. I want my students to have choices in how they learning and working in my classroom. This is why my project is flexible seating. One of the things with flexible seating is choice in where to sit and where to work. When students have choice, they feel empowered in their learning. This will allow the students in my classroom to have some choice in where they work. The students will also feel more comfortable while they are learning; you cannot learn if you are uncomfortable. I am hoping to give my students the opportunity to increase their learning they way they want to learn.
