Having the newest updated phone is the coolest thing to have as a student in school. Having the most updated library is the teacher equivalent to having the most updated phone. My students are interested in reading books, just not so much in my library because I do not have the "new books" that they really want to read. Our school library does have the "new books" but not enough to where more than one student from each grade level can check it out and enjoy it. This is where my book project comes into play. I want to have more books that the students today are interested in, like Dog Man books and Dork Diaries. I also want to make sure to have books that are both nonfiction and fiction books. This is exactly what my project does. To create those students that can find that love of reading, books that they are interested in reading is what is needed.
